Governance & Transparency

Governance

Great Britain Jujitsu is committed to the highest standards of governance, transparency, and accountability as we work towards National Governing Body recognition.

Our Commitment to Good Governance

Great Britain Jujitsu (GBJ) is dedicated to building a modern, transparent, and inclusive governing body for Jujitsu in Great Britain. We believe that strong governance is the foundation of a credible, trusted, and successful national federation.

We follow the principles of good governance as set out by UK Sport and Sport England, including strategic vision, accountability, transparency, and integrity. As an organisation working towards NGB recognition, we are committed to continuously developing our governance structures to meet and exceed the standards expected of a recognised national governing body.

Our affiliation with the Jujitsu International Federation (JJIF) — the worldwide governing body for competitive Jujitsu — ensures that our governance structures align with international best practice, giving British athletes a direct and legitimate pathway to European and World competition.
